Make a Difference for Molly Project
The ‘Make a Difference for Molly Project’ is a Bee-lieve Foundation initiative created as a legacy for Molly Price.
I want to say a big thank you to you, Hannah and Sian for all of the work that you have done with some of our most vulnerable pupils this year. Every single one of them has benefited in some way. Your help and support has been very much appreciated by us as staff but also by the pupils and their parents.

Building a Brighter Future for Young People
The Molly Project supports primary & secondary schools, as well as colleges, in strengthening their approach to children’s emotional wellbeing and mental health, empowering pupils through education to develop the resilience, confidence and coping skills they need to thrive.
Bee-lieve Foundation work alongside schools to provide strategic support, staff training, curriculum teaching resources and early intervention programmes, tailored to the needs of each school community.
Our aim is simple:
to help schools create environments where every child feels connected, supported, understood and able to flourish.
Why Schools Are Getting Involved
Our schools are increasingly supporting children facing a wide range of emotional and social challenges, including:
- anxiety and low confidence
- emotional dysregulation
- attachment difficulties
- bereavement and family disruption
- domestic stress within families
- children struggling to attend school due to emotional factors
Many schools also support pupils who may have experienced early adversity or who face additional barriers that affect their emotional wellbeing.
Schools often have committed staff and strong pastoral values, but staff capacity, funding pressures and limited access to specialist support can make it difficult to meet growing needs.
The Make a Difference for Molly Project helps schools strengthen the support they can offer pupils, staff and families.
Working in Partnership with Schools
Every school community is different.
Some schools already have strong pastoral structures and established wellbeing support, while others are still developing their approach.
Bee-lieve Foundation work collaboratively with schools to:
- understand the school’s context and pupil needs
- recognise the strengths already in place
- identify areas where additional support would help
- develop a bespoke wellbeing support plan
The aim is always to build on what the school is already doing well, while strengthening areas where additional support could make a real difference to all.
Strengths We Often See in Schools
Many schools already demonstrate strong foundations for supporting emotional wellbeing, including:
- committed and experienced staff teams
- strong relationships with families
- proactive pastoral support for vulnerable pupils
- positive behaviour and strong school ethos
- engagement with external support services where needed
The Molly Project aims to enhance and extend this work, not replace it.
Common Challenges Schools Face
Across many schools we see similar pressures emerging.
These include:
- increasing levels of anxiety among pupils
- children struggling with emotional regulation
- pupils experiencing difficulties linked to trauma or family stress
- limited support available for children with emerging emotional needs
- pressure on staff time due to curriculum and accountability demands
- limited capacity for staff training in wellbeing approaches
- lack of consistent ways to assess and monitor emotional wellbeing
The Molly Project helps schools address these challenges in practical and sustainable ways.
Examples of Support for Schools
Schools joining the project work with Bee-lieve Foundation to identify the most appropriate support for their community.
Support may include:
- development of emotional wellbeing teaching within the curriculum
- training for staff to better support children’s emotional needs
- early intervention support for pupils who may be struggling
- mentoring or small group support programmes
- guidance on strengthening pastoral structures
- tools to help schools understand and track
- emotional wellbeing workshops or information sessions for parents and families
Support is always designed to complement the work already taking place within the school.
A Whole School Approach
The most successful schools take a whole-school approach to emotional wellbeing, bringing together:
- curriculum teaching of emotional skills
- trained staff who understand children’s emotional development
- early support for pupils experiencing difficulties
- strong engagement with parents and families
- systems to identify and support vulnerable pupils
The Make a Difference for Molly Project helps schools bring these elements together in a sustainable and practical way.
How the Partnership Works
Schools joining the project typically begin with:
Initial discussion
A conversation with members of the Bee-lieve Foundation team to understand the school’s context, strengths and current challenges.
Identifying priorities
Together we identify areas where additional support could have the greatest impact.
Developing a tailored support plan
Schools choose the types of support that best suit their community.
Ongoing collaboration
Bee-lieve Foundation work alongside the school to review progress and adapt support where needed.
