What a Day!
On Sunday 6 September, The Big Buzz 26 brought together cricketing legends, local businesses, families, friends and supporters at The Sports Ground in Guildford for a very special day in support of Bee-lieve Foundation.
At the heart of the day was a T20 match between the Bee-lieve XI and Lashings World XI, but The Big Buzz was about much more than cricket. It was about bringing people together, raising awareness and helping us continue our work supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
Cricketing Legends Take to the Field
It was a real privilege to welcome Lashings World XI to Guildford, with former international cricketers including Monty Panesar, Saqlain Mushtaq, Saj Mahmood and Adam Hollioake joining us for the day.
Our Bee-lieve XI took to the field alongside some of the biggest names in cricket, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
And from the commentary box, Henry Blofeld and Mark Church kept everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.
More Than a Cricket Match
Before the cricket began, guests came together for our pre-match lunch, hosted by Dave Fitzgerald, while around the ground families enjoyed the activities and atmosphere of The Big Buzz.
It was wonderful to see so many different parts of our community come together, from businesses and sponsors to families, volunteers, cricket fans and friends of Bee-lieve.
That was exactly what we wanted The Big Buzz to be: a brilliant day out, but one with a much bigger purpose behind it.
