Terms and Conditions – Marathon Walk

From Westminster Cathedral to Holy Family School, Addlestone

1. General Information

  • The Bee-lieve Marathon Walk is a fundraising walk organised by Bee-lieve Foundation.
  • The walk will begin at Westminster Cathedral, London, and finish at Holy Family School, Addlestone.
  • Date and time: 13th June 2026 8am

2. Eligibility

  • Under 18s must have signed parental/guardian consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout.
  • All participants must register in advance.

3. Health & Safety

  • Participants take part at their own risk. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure they are medically fit and able to complete the walk.
  • If you have any medical conditions that may affect participation, you must consult your doctor before registering.
  • Suitable footwear and clothing for long-distance walking are required.
  • Participants must follow the route instructions, and road safety rules at all times.

4. Liability

  • The organisers, volunteers, and associated partners accept no liability for any injury, loss, damage, or costs incurred as a result of participation, unless caused by negligence of the organisers.
  • Personal belongings are the responsibility of each participant.
  • Participants are responsible for their own transport to their chosen start point, and from the finish.

5. Fundraising

  • By registering, participants agree that the primary purpose of the event is to raise funds for the Bee-lieve Foundation.
  • Participants are encouraged to set a fundraising target of £[insert recommended amount].

6. Event Changes and Cancellation

  • The organisers reserve the right to alter the route, start time, or event arrangements if necessary for safety or logistical reasons.
  • In the unlikely event of cancellation, registration fees (if any) are non-refundable, but fundraising will still be donated to the charity.

7. Behaviour

  • Participants must show respect and courtesy to fellow walkers, volunteers, the public, and venue staff.
  • Any participant behaving inappropriately may be withdrawn from the event.

8. Photography & Media

  • Photographs and/or video may be taken during the event for promotional purposes.
  • By taking part, you consent to your image being used in Bee-lieve’s publicity, unless you notify the organisers in writing beforehand.

9. Data Protection

  • Personal details collected for the event will be stored securely and used only for event administration and fundraising purposes, in accordance with GDPR.

10. Agreement

  • By registering for the Bee-lieve Marathon Walk, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
